COURAGEOUS VBAC: Your Path To An Empowered And Informed Birth

Be equipped with the clarity and support you need to navigate your VBAC journey with courage!

This is not a childbirth class…

Chances are, you’ve already taken one of those… and your previous birth still didn’t go according to plan. You’ve had a cesarean section, and having a VBAC feels daunting…

“Courageous VBAC: Your Path To An Empowered and Informed Birth,”
is more than a course… community… coaching program.
It is a comprehensive journey of self discovery, where facts and intuition meet.

You'll leave that uncertainty behind, gain confidence, and be equipped with the clarity and personal support needed to navigate your VBAC journey with courage!

Before we go any further, let’s make sure you will benefit from Courageous VBAC.

You are right for Courageous VBAC, if you want to experience less fear/anxiety during your next pregnancy, face your birth with confidence, and be equipped with facts to make true informed decisions regarding your next birth.
If you are…

  • A C-Section mama… It goes without saying.

  • You desire to have a VBAC with every fiber of your being.

  • You’re curious about having a VBAC… but you’re not too sure. It seems risky.

  • You just want to learn the pros and cons of both VBAC and Repeat Cesarean so you can make your choice confidently, and be prepared and supported through either a RCS (repeat cesarean section) or a planned VBAC.

  • You are a birth worker and you want to learn more about the challenges VBAC mamas face, and become better equipped to support them!

  • You’re not even pregnant yet… but you know you want guidance before you get there so you can actually enjoy your next pregnancy.. And finally…

  • You ARE pregnant but aren’t due with your VBAC baby until at least August 2024.

Sound like you?
I see you mama.

You’re in the right place…

So here’s the deal. By the end of this program you will…

  • Acknowledge Your Past

Processing your past birth experiences is a crucial step to lay the foundation for a positive VBAC journey. Better undersand the reasons for your cesarean section, identify any personal fears about childbirth/having a VBAC, and be coached through fear release exercises. Learn how to affirm your body and mind throughout pregnancy and birth.

Bonus Content: Faith-based fear release workshop for Christians featuring a powerful guest speaker.

  • Embrace Physiological Birth

Consider it a mini childbirth class within the larger picture. Dig deep to understand birth biomechanics, and debunk common misconceptions about labor progression.

You’ll learn (and practice) practical techniques that will help you navigate labor with confidence and empowerment. These are techniques I teach my birth clients, and midwives and doulas use all the time when supporting laboring mamas.

  • Know the FACTS about VBAC

What is the “VBAC Climate” in my area? What are my options for having a VBAC? Do I need to worry about uterine rupture? What about going over due or getting induced? Why do I need to consider placental abnormalities when making my choice? I have had TWO+ cesaeans… can I still VBAC? The VBAC Calculator says I only have a 60% chance of success, is it worth it to still try???

You will find your answer to all these questions.

  • Understand The Ins and Outs of Repeat Cesarean

Sometimes pregnancy doesn’t go as expected, and babies don’t do what we want them to (welcome to motherhood). So when is a repeat cesarean necessary? You will learn about the lasting impacts of multiple cesareans, and be able to discern when one is truly beneficial for both you and baby- not for your practitioner!

You will know how to best prepare for a scheduled cesarean, so you can still birth your baby feeling confident and empowered… not defeated and disappointed.

  • Build Your Team

Obstetrician, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, Lay Midwife, Doula…
(not in any particular order or hierarchy)
Hospital Birth, Birth Center, Home Birth… Where will you give birth and who will be on your team?

This is THE MOST IMPORTANT step in your VBAC journey.

You will conduct comprehensive consultations with several practitioners using in depth worksheets, and the knowledge and confidence you have attained in Courageous VBAC.

  • Prepare For Any Outcome

    Birth is unpredictable.
You have likely learned that first hand.
Maybe you went to a hospital with a cute typed up “birth plan” and came out with an unplanned c-section.

You wont make “Birth Preferences” in vain this time. You know your options, and what you prefer to happen (or not happen) because your birth experience is important. That is why you plan.
TOLAC Preferences, Repeat Cesarean Planning, Alternative Scenario Preferences, Postpartum Planning. You are prepared for most of the “typical” outcomes and lean in to surrender.

Okay that’s cool… But who are you and why should I trust you?

Great question. I’m Gloria Lapp. Birth Doula, and mama of two beautiful girls… both born by cesarean section.

Im not here to share with you how “I got my VBAC, and now you can too”… if you do “x-y-z.”

There’s nothing wrong with that… but there is no one formula to an empowered birth.

For some, it may look like a home birth VBAC… for others maybe they couldn’t imagine doing it outside of a hospital.
Others may decide that at the end of the day- they feel most empowered scheduling a repeat cesarean.

My story began when the birth of my first daughter sent me on a feverish five year journey of learning about birth.

Two complicated birth journeys later - I am now a certified birth doula.

Everything I teach is backed with credible medical research, and documents you and your partner can review for yourself

I believe true informed consent means you are given unbiased, and truthful information..
so you can make an educated choice, based on the facts.. and your own motherly intuition.

I know first hand how hard it can be for VBAC hopeful moms to find support.

My only goal is the truth, and for you to have the unwavering support you need.

Danielle O.
VBAC Birth Client

“There is no word to describe Gloria other than amazing.

I truly believe I would not have been able to have a successful VBAC if we did not have her support and guidance… The immense amount of support and information she was able to provide was unmeasurable.

My husband was able to be much more of an active supporter during my labor because of the education she provided him.”

Danielle’s Story

Danielle only had one day

She hired me the day before she went into labor. Of course we didn’t know that.

She was dealing with an unsupportive practitioner that wanted to schedule her for a cesarean the day before her due date. Shocker.

It was a Saturday when I brought my expertise and resources to our prenatal appointment, and met with her and her husband for nearly four hours.

Early the next morning she went into labor.

You can have 10 weeks!

When the program is over you will also still have access to the online communities to connect with other moms, and where I will be available to answer questions.

  • Have you ever felt lost in how to help a client communicate better with a practitioner that seems a little less than supportive? Maybe you are not sure why VBAC moms need more support than non-VBAC clients. This program will open your eyes to the struggles of many VBAC moms, and give you insight on how to support them.
